Building Community
The Friends enrich the life of the town by bringing together neighbors from across Sharon and across age-lines. We support and provide programming that stimulates the minds of our children and adults. Being on the Board, volunteering, attending an event are wonderful ways to meet new friends and get to know the people who share your town and Library. Like us on Facebook!

The Friends of the Sharon Public Library is an IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Our mission is to partner with the Sharon Public Library in serving the informational, educational, cultural, and recreational needs of the community through fundraising, programming, advocacy, and volunteerism.

The Sharon Public Library has an operating budget from the town and the state which supports the salaries and daily overhead of running the Library. The Friends provide additional funding to support Programming for adults and children, teens, and tweens, craft kits, discount museum passes, and so many of the "extras" which make our Library such a wonderful, rich place come from funds raised by the Friends.

The Friends raise funds through membership dues, donations, book adoptions, our annual book sale, and other events. Use the donation button below to donate or click here for more ways to support the Friends.
